OUR CHURCH
Pastor James Lotz founded Bible Baptist church in 1982; he moved from The Meadville area in 1994. Pastor Phillip Thomas has led Bible Baptist Church since June 24, 1995. He has been married to his beautiful wife, June, since July 28, 1979 and they have raised five children together.
After being called to the ministry as a young man, Pastor Thomas followed God's calling Sept 25, 1982. He has since pastored five churches in the Clarion, Armstrong, Butler, and Crawford counties.
Our mission at Bible Baptist Church is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection, to an unsaved, sinful, dying world, with the hope of seeing many people come to Jesus Christ the Lord for salvation by faith in Him alone. Simply put, we are an Independent Fundamental Baptist Church in the rural area of Meadville, PA seeking to love people, preach the Word, see souls saved and lives changed!
As the world around us continues to show ever lowering moral values and sub par standards, we are committed to standing firmly on the precepts of God's holy and divine Word.
Our Pastor is currently taking us through the book of Acts. The lives of Peter and Paul and their ministries are an amazing example for today's believers.
Prayer
In July of 2011 our church burnt to the ground. The building and everything in it was a total loss. We found out in the weeks after the fire that our building had been under insured. Standing in the driveway, the very night of the fire, we as a church family, began to pray. Our prayers continued for the next year and half as God rebuilt our church despite the obstacles that seemed insurmountable. This is just one of the many testomonies of answered prayer. If you or family member are in need of prayer we will gladly add your requests to our prayer chain. Prayer Sisters meet the first Tuesday of every month at 6 PM.
Sunday school
Sunday School begins at 10AM. All classes are currently discussing the need to reach out to our community and are studying ways to spread the gospel by impacting the lives of those around us.
Youth
Wednesday Youth group begins at 6PM.
Bible Baptist Church has been providing a youth ministry since 1995. Our big yellow bus is a well known sight around town on Wednesday evenings as it travels to various parts of the community to bring children to our weekly youth group. Our children are the future of not only our country, but of our churchs. We are willing to make the investment in todays youth.
Music
Anyone interested in joining the choir please speak to Susie Taylor. Ms. Susie has been directing our music program since 1996. She has blessed us with her God given talent, by not only playing the piano and organ for our worship services, but by also providing music classes and private lessons to the children of Foundaton Christian School.
Community service
Bible Baptist Church holds revival meetings once a year as well as other special services. On October 13 we will be hosting the Tri-State Pastor's fellowship. The doors will be opened all day for God driven sermons delivered by God fearing men. Please come join us.
